For the Adirondack Chairs   " We built these chairs in the Woods 1 class and used the CNC machine to create a template for the back of the chair to mimic the outline of our state of Minnesota. Each student built their chair and finished it as well. Excellent work at NCE!" State Cutting Boards "The Engineering Essentials group made a background of the outline of  Minnesota and created cutting boards and wall art with them. This exercise assisted with creating an environment where the younger students can begin building familiarity with the shop itself, tools, and safety procedures when working." Misc Projects "Several students this year asked to build or re-build specialty projects in the shop, and this was amazing to witness. With care and forethought, they could be creative and learn simultaneously, performing practical repairs and project adjustments." Students learned in a hands-on way how to safely and correctly use the following: Table Saw/Table Router/CNC Machines/Spindle Sanders/Bandsaws/Drills/Compound /Miter Saws/Wood Clamps/Cordless Drills/Sawzalls/Multi-tools/Skilsaw/Saws/Paint and Stain Room.

Today all science classes in grades 7-12 went to Heiberg Park to learn about river watch. The team instructed the students on what we do and everyone was able to try out the tools to take water quality sampling data.

Final Voting Information
In April 2024, our students embarked on a Fine Arts Trip, a journey about experiencing the unique and diverse forms of artistic expression. They had the privilege of witnessing The Lion King performed by the Broadway touring company at the iconic Orpheum Theater, exploring the vibrant and dynamic Art by Keith Haring, and being moved by the soul-stirring performances of the U of M's Gospel Choir, and witnessing the testament of the U of M's Wind Ensemble. This excursion was a gateway for our students to step outside their local communities and immerse themselves in the world of fine arts, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who supported us financially and emotionally. Your contributions were instrumental in making this trip a reality, and we could not have done this without your generous support.
