Esports Week 8 Results:
The season concluded this week with several of our teams vying for chances at State. Owen secured victories in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Chess. Will earned a forfeit win in both SSBU and Mario Kart alongside Jacob. In Fortnite, the NCE Sigmas achieved a second-place finish in the match, securing a spot in the State Tournament. The NCE Sizables competed in the divisional tournament and finished second in our group, earning another opportunity to appear at State.
Congrats to all teams on a successful season and good luck to our State Qualified states in March.

Esports Week 7 Results:
NCE Bedbugs (Levi, Will) played a short-handed game and secured a victory.
NCE Sigmas (Austyn, Levi) earned 3 points; they are currently the 5th seed with one week remaining (top 6 make state), while NCE Forters (Mason, Kingston) also earned 3 points, moving them to 10th overall.
NCE Sizables (Ayden, Eli, Tanner, Titan) delivered a commanding performance, outscoring their opponent 50-3 in a 3-0 victory.
NCE 2Mario2Kart (Jacob, Will) achieved another victory in Mario Kart to round off the week.

Six of our talented senior high musicians performed solos at our Sub-Section Solo Contest on Monday. They prepared solos to perform in front of judges and received feedback and scores. Our students absolutely crushed it! We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication! Also a huge thank you to Danette Gwin for accompanying our students!

NCE Blitz (Owen Riepe) picks up a forfeit win this week in SSBU.
NCE Sigmas (Levi Wilebski, Austyn Wibbels) finished 7th this week in Fortnite, earning 7 points, while NCE Forters (Mason Syverson, Kingston Losh) finished 4th, earning 12 points.
NCE Sizables (Mason Syverson, Tanner Swanson, Titan Boman) bounced back this week with a 3-1 victory in Rocket League to improve to 5-1 on the season.
NCE 2Mario2Kart (Jacob Ruud, Will Woltjer) earned their first true victory of the season in Mario Kart to round off the week.
We are two weeks from the end of the regular season, and several teams are poised to make the State Tournament in March!

We are excited to announce the activities and dress up themes planned for this years snow daze week Feb. 3rd-7th.
The fourth graders took a trip to the Gizhiigin Arts Center in Mahnomen today! They got to talk with local artists and make their own paintings! They had a blast, and the paintings turned out awesome!

NCE Sigmas (Levi Wilebski, Austyn Wibbels) pushed their way to a first-place finish this week in Fortnite, scoring 28 points and moving them into 4th place for the season. Meanwhile, NCE Forters (Mason Syverson, Keevin Losh) were able to hang with them, taking third and scoring 14 points moving them into 9th place in the rankings.
