The first graders joined in on some zoom meetings that were sponsored by the Minnesota Dept. of Ag last week for FFA/Ag week. During our meetings authors read us stories. We were lucky last Thursday and we won a set of books. They arrived in the mail yesterday.


Mr. Schow took a group of 6, 7, and 8th graders to compete in the annual Tri-College Math Competition at MSUM. Although they didn't place, they all had a fun day of math (probably).





Norman County East was just informed that due to equipment issues at the DEKKO center in Ada, swimming lessons are cancelled for today, march 10th. Thankyou.
Due to a music/band event all day, there is no school on Monday, March 10 -
There is swimming lessons on Monday, March 10th with the bus leaving at 3:30pm - Normal bus times for swimming.

And just like that, our Winter Esports season has come to a close.
Rocket League competed in pool play for a chance to advance into the tournament bracket. They beat Ada and Little Falls but lost to the eventual state champions Eagan.
Thanks for all the support over the season, we'll be back next year even stronger!


Fortnite ends the season with a 3rd place (out of 145 total teams) finish at state!
They won the first round for 27 points. Had a tough second round, earning only 1 point. Then, bounced back to net 12 points in the final round. We are super proud of these guys!

Norman County East School would like to thank Brian Lee of the Hawley Muscatell Burns Ford Team for helping us out today. Our E-sports team was on their way to State competition but got a flat near Hwy10 by Hawley. Brian took care of us with a replacement tire and the labor. Thanks!

Swimming lessons update (resent as image to clarify)
NCE FFA was off to UMC Crookston today with 2 teams; small animals and horse evaluation. They all did a great job!!
Small animals team took 4th which qualifies them for a trip to state this spring!! Isabella Ruud got 7th place in small animals individual scores with about 100 participants.
Very proud of both teams!!




Busy couple of days for the River Watch team. Yesterday, Katelyn and Mrs. Schow went to St. Paul to testify for a bill requesting continued funding for the MN River Watch program. Today, the team went to Grand Forks to compete at the Forum Event. They did amazing and won gold in both categories for the second year in a row!
